David Hicks, one of the most prominent designers of the 60s and 70s, used a combination of strong colours for dramatic effect. In addition to projects for the English aristocracy, Hicks also worked on a number of commercial projects, and used this blue in a restaurant on top of the London Telecom Tower in 1962.
